Privacy Policy

Smoke Free Island ("the App") respects user privacy and limits data collection to the minimum necessary.

1. Information we collect

The App stores the following information locally on the user's device. We do not transmit it to any server.

• Quit start time and elapsed time
• Smoke log (date and time of any slips)
• Urge log (when an urge occurred and seconds endured)
• Brand, price per pack, and cigarettes per day (for savings calculation)
• Settings such as language and character
• Acknowledgement of the medical disclaimer

2. Sharing with third parties

We do not share the above with any third party. The App does not collect personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.).

3. Advertising

The App may display a static banner ad via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect advertising IDs and similar information for ad delivery. Tobacco- and smoking-related ad categories are strictly excluded via block lists. There is no ad-removal purchase in v1.0.

4. Crash reports

Crash reports may be sent to Sentry, but never with personally identifiable information (PII). Smoke and urge log contents are not transmitted.

5. Notifications

Milestone notifications (24 hours, 1 week, etc.) are scheduled locally on the device and do not pass through any server.

6. External links

In-app references to public health bodies (WHO, CDC, NHS, MHLW, etc.) are external links; the privacy policy of each site applies. The App cannot control the behavior of external sites.

7. Deleting your data

Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

8. Use by minors

Because the App handles tobacco-related content, it is not intended for users under the legal smoking age in their country (20 in Japan). Pregnant or breastfeeding users are guided to official resources that strongly recommend quitting, in-app.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated without notice. Significant changes will be announced in-app.
