These terms govern your use of Smoke Free Island ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

1. Important: not medical advice

The App is an information tool intended to support quit-smoking habits, not to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for health-related decisions. The in-app health-recovery timeline is based on public materials from WHO, the U.S. Surgeon General, CDC, NHS, and Japanese MHLW e-Healthnet, and reflects general trends — individual results vary.

2. Not recommended for

We do not recommend the App for the following users.

  • Anyone under the legal smoking age in their country (20 in Japan)
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding users (quitting itself is strongly recommended, but please consult a doctor — the App is not medical advice)
  • Users in treatment for cardiovascular, respiratory, or psychiatric conditions (quit progression should be supervised by a clinician)
  • Users undergoing nicotine replacement therapy or smoking-cessation clinic care (the App does not replace treatment)

3. User responsibility

The developer is not liable for any damage (including health effects or data loss) arising from use of the App.

4. Pricing

v1.0 of the App offers no in-app purchases. All features are free. There is no subscription pricing. If a future version adds paid features, these terms will be revised and announced in-app.

5. Advertising

The App may display a static banner ad via Google AdMob. Tobacco- and smoking-related ad categories are strictly excluded via block lists.

6. Intellectual property

All trademarks, copyrights, and design rights related to the App belong to the developer or its licensors.

7. Prohibited acts

The following are prohibited.

  • Reverse engineering or modifying the App
  • Providing medical or paid advice to third parties via the App
  • Using the App for self-diagnosis or self-treatment
  • Any other acts that violate law or public order

8. Service changes

The developer may change, add to, or terminate the App without notice.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised without notice. Continued use of the App after a revision is deemed agreement to the revised terms.

10. Governing law / jurisdiction

These terms and any disputes arising from use of the App are governed by the laws of Japan, with the Tokyo District Court as the court of exclusive agreed jurisdiction.
